I’m Jim Cattarin, the owner and operator of Foggy Dog Handyman, LLC. As a dedicated local business owner, I take pride in providing reliable, high-quality service to homeowners who value attention to detail and professional results.
I started Foggy Dog eight years ago with a simple mission: to help my neighbors in San Francisco and throughout the Peninsula finally cross those "to-do" items off their lists. Before starting this business, I spent 30 years as an Electrical Engineer. That career taught me the absolute necessity of precision, safety, and doing a job right the first time. Now that I’m semi-retired, I’ve traded the engineering lab for the home workshop, applying that same disciplined mindset to practical repairs.
I specialize in all those small-to-medium projects that bigger contractors often overlook—the leaky faucets, the sticking doors, the light fixtures that need replacing, or the shelving you’ve been meaning to hang for months. My goal is to handle the tasks you simply don’t have the time or tools for. If it’s a project around the house that you can never seem to get to, I’m the person to call.
When I’m not working for my clients, I’m almost always hands-on with my own home improvement projects or helping family and friends with theirs. I truly enjoy the challenge of maintaining and upgrading homes, and I bring that same level of care and personal investment to every job I take on for my community.
